ITALY. Papal Coinage. Leo X, 1513-1521. Medal (Silver, 32 mm, 17.41 g, 12 h), Papal Restitution Issue, on the papal generosity. A later restrike, circa 18th century. LEO•X•PONTIFEX•MAX• Bust of Leo X to right, wearing tonsure and mantum. Rev. LIBERALITAS•PONTIFICIA Liberalitas standing to left between clerical attributes and music instruments, emptying cornucopiae. Cf. Modesti 237 (bronze). Very rare and beautifully toned. Light scratches, otherwise, good extremely fine.
